316 Stainless Steel is a high-performance alloy known for its outstanding corrosion resistance and mechanical strength, making it ideal for demanding environments. RAM Tool can produce custom machined 316 Stainless Steel parts with tolerances as low as ±0.005 mm (0.0002 inches). We commonly utilize grade 316 Stainless Steel for corrosion-resistant parts, particularly in chloride environments such as medical, manufacturing, food and construction industries. Adding molybdenum enhances the material’s resistance to pitting and crevice corrosion, particularly in chloride-rich settings.
